Nella Station Shelter, Now Available

We're proud to announce our new Nella Station Shelter kit. A new HO scale, laser-cut wood kit based on a prototype in Husk, N.C.. The Nella Station Shelter is a companion kit to our popular Nella Country Store model. The shelter was located just across the dusty road from the Nella store and served as a welcome haven to protect rail passengers from the wind rain and hot sun. The shelter served on the West Jefferson branch of the Norfolk and Western. The kit features laser-cut walls, roof, floor, platform and roll roofing as well as water-slide decals, stairs and strip wood for bracing. Measuring only 2" x 2.5", it will easily fit on any layout.

Order by phone, mail or online: $12.95 each. The first 50 orders also receive a free Tichey Mail Crane, a $5.95 value.

Our New Empolyee, Kelly Godfrey

Meet our new employee, Kelly Godfrey. Originally from Arizona, Kelly comes to us via Portland, OR. where she worked restoring period light fixtures and architectural hardware. Kelly is also trained in a variety of building trades including tile setting. Her attention to detail and knowledge of architecture and construction will serve us well at KingMill.

Kelly's first project was to build a demo model of our new Nella Station Shelter kit. You can see the results of her efforts in the following post. Her hard work has allowed me to focus my attention on finishing Kit-O-mat.

Take care,

Chris

Kit-O-Mat progress update

The final bug fix list was sent to our programmer Jim Allman and I've been hard at work on the instruction manual. As soon as the bug fixes are in we'll run tests to verify the fixes and Kit-O-Mat will be ready to ship.

The image shows how closely we've dialed in the tolerances for plastic windows. Size charts for both Grandt Line and Tichy windows and doors will be included on the Kit-O-Mat CD.

Take care,

Chris
